Michael S. Deel focuses his practice on commercial litigation, mass torts, and complex litigation.
Before joining Paine, Tarwater & Bickers, Michael clerked for Judge J. Ronnie Greer of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and worked in the Nashville office of a large, full-service law firm.
Michael graduated from East Tennessee State University with degrees in English and International Affairs and attended the University of Tennessee College of Law. In law school, he was the managing editor of the Tennessee Law Review and Symposium Editor of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy. He graduated with high honors.
While in law school, he gained valuable experience by interning for Judge Eugene E. Siler, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and Justice Cheri L. Beasley of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys exploring National Parks and hiking with his fiancée and his dog, Ginny.
